Carson Olsheski is a trial lawyer with experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property disputes, including patent, antitrust, and trade secret matters.  Mr. Olsheski represents clients in the networking, consumer electronics, and life sciences industries in the United States District Courts and arbitration proceedings. He has experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial.

Mr. Olsheski was a member of the trial team that represented Cisco against plaintiff Egenera, Inc. in a patent infringement jury trial.  The team achieved a complete non-infringement defense verdict for Cisco.  At trial, Mr. Olsheski conducted the direct examination of Cisco’s damages expert. 
 
Mr. Olsheski was also a member of the trial team defending antitrust claims brought by Arista Networks against Cisco.  He prepared witnesses for trial, and took the trial deposition of a key witness.  The morning of trial, Arista agreed to drop its antitrust claims and pay Cisco a substantial settlement.
    
During law school, Mr. Olsheski was an associate articles editor of the Georgia State University Law Review, and received the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence In the Study of Intellectual Property.  Before law school, Mr. Olsheski worked as an engineer.

Publications

  • August 15, 2022 – Mr. Olsheski was part of the trial team that won a jury verdict of non-infringement against plaintiff Egenera after a two-week jury trial in Boston, Massachusetts.  Egenera had sought more than $370 Million in damages and requested treble damages . See Firm News.
  • August 6, 2018 – Mr. Olsheski was part of the trial team that represented Cisco in its antitrust case against Arista Networks.  Arista eventually paid Cisco $400 Million to settle this dispute and some other intellectual property disputes, that the parties disputed in parallel proceedings.  See Firm News.
