Adam Steinmetz

Adam Steinmetz’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation and IP counseling involving a range of technologies and industries.  He has represented and counseled clients in matters relating to pharmaceuticals, gene sequencing, medical devices, electronics, telecommunications, energy, and other technologies.  He has represented clients in disputes in federal district court, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, international arbitration, and in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  

Prior to rejoining Desmarais LLP in 2022, Adam served for three years as a judicial law clerk for Judge Alan D. Lourie at the Federal Circuit.  Additionally, from 2015-2016, he served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Claire C. Cecchi in the District of New Jersey.
