Sloane Weiss’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling. During law school, Sloane served as a Notes & Comments editor for the Yale Law Journal. Sloane also received Yale Law School's 2025 Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition Prize for the best paper in the field of copyright law for their paper "What's in Style: Copyright, Artistic Style, and Artificial Intelligence." Prior to their legal career, Sloane was a research assistant in a synthetic biology laboratory at Harvard Medical School. As a researcher, their primary projects included investigating the immune-antagonizing effects of viral genes and engineering a probiotic treatment for food poisoning caused by E. coli.
