Jamie Kringstein’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation and IP counseling.  She has participated in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation to trial and appeal, in cases relating to a wide range of technologies, including wireless communications, computer processors, audio compression, and medical devices. 

Ms. Kringstein has represented clients in U.S. district courts, the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the International Trade Commission (ITC), and arbitrations before panels proceeding under JAMS and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
 
Ms. Kringstein was on the team that, in February 2023, won summary judgment of noninfringement on behalf of client Intel on all claims asserted in a patent infringement suit brought by XMTT in the District of Delaware.  Intel Beats Patent Suit Over CPU Chips In Delaware
 
Ms. Kringstein was on the trial team that, in August 2022, successfully defeated a patent infringement case brought by Egenera against client Cisco with a finding of noninfringement.  Cisco Cleared In $371M Software Patent Trial
 
Ms. Kringstein was the senior associate on the team that, in June 2022, won summary judgment of noninfringement on behalf of client Fitbit LLC on at least three grounds for each of 21 claims across three patents asserted by Cellspin Soft, Inc.  Nike, Fitbit, Others Shake Cellspin's Tech Patent Suit

Before joining Desmarais LLP, Ms. Kringstein spent 18 months clerking for former Chief Judge Leonard P. Stark in the District of Delaware.  Prior to her clerkship, she was an associate for three years in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group in the New York office of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.  During law school, Ms. Kringstein served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal.
