During law school, Mr. Genaw served as the Notes Editor for the Alaska Law Review. He was on the board of Duke’s Intellectual Property Law Society and worked as a pro bono student attorney for the Duke Health Justice Clinic, helping clients secure disability benefits. As a Margolis Scholar, Mr. Genaw researched the intersection of patent law and innovation policy pertaining to emerging biologics and biosimilars.
Mr. Genaw earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan, where he researched epigenetics and the impact sugar consumption has on genetic expression. Before law school, he served in the Peace Corps and worked on public health initiatives in Togo, West Africa.
