During law school, Mr. Anderson performed pro bono legal work as a student attorney in NYU Law’s Science, Health, and Information Clinic, where he advocated for transparency and government disclosure of settlement terms in a first-of-its-kind patent infringement action brought by the federal government. While at the clinic, Mr. Anderson also assisted in drafting multiple amicus briefs on issues of patent, trade secrecy, and constitutional takings law at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, among other work. Mr. Anderson served as Managing Editor for the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law, and has written covering issues at the intersection of artificial intelligence and copyright law.
Prior to law school, Mr. Anderson served for four years as a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office, examining applications across fields including materials science, metallurgy, and additive manufacturing.
