The New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) has announced that Paul Bondor, partner at Desmarais LLP, will serve as President-Elect for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors term. Bondor has been part of NYIPLA for more than 20 years, joining its Board in 2020 and becoming an officer in 2023.
Bondor has spent more than three decades as a patent trial attorney handling high-stakes disputes for clients. His recent successes include a complete defense victory for Intel – in district court and later on appeal before the Federal Circuit – that fully defeated a lawsuit alleging patent infringement against nearly all desktop and mobile processors Intel sold since 2012. He also secured a significant trial victory for OPEX Corporation before the International Trade Commission that resulted in cease-and-desist and exclusion orders blocking the importation of a rival’s products, as well as a 100% bond during the review process.
Founded in 1922, the NYIPLA is focused on supporting the interests of intellectual property both domestically and abroad by working with attorneys in the industry, collaborating with similar organizations outside the United States, and providing education to the public. The NYIPLA’s membership includes more than 1,500 intellectual property attorneys in the U.S. and across the globe.
