Benchmark Litigation named Desmarais LLP partner Leslie Spencer, for the fifth year in a row, to its “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” which honors the most distinguished women litigators in the United States. Benchmark selected the Top 250 for 2025 after reviewing candidates’ case work, gathering client feedback, and conducting one-on-one interviews.
 
“These individuals have earned their place by participating in some of the most impactful litigation matters in recent history as well as by earning the hard-won respect of their peers and clients,” Benchmark said in its announcement. “Though they hail from widely different practice areas as well as geography, they all share the distinction of being recognized as top players in their respective fields.”
 
Spencer has more than two decades of experience litigating patent infringement disputes in the federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Her patent cases have covered a wide range of technologies, involving computer software (including artificial intelligence and blockchain), data encryption and security, network communications, semiconductor design and manufacturing, automotive systems, Fintech, medical devices, and healthcare information technology.
