The American Lawyer selected Desmarais LLP as a finalist in the “National Boutique/Specialty Litigation Department of the Year” category for its 2025 Industry Awards.
The recognition highlights Desmarais LLP’s major litigation successes during the past 18 months. These include a jury verdict of noninfringement that eliminated $361 million in patent damages claims in the Western District of Texas; a $44.9 million verdict that found infringement related to two interactive services patents in the District of Delaware; three wins before the Federal Circuit that upheld the prenatal genetic testing patents behind $429.5 million secured in the district courts; and a defense victory that defeated multibillion-dollar patent infringement claims related to central processing units in the District of Delaware and on appeal before the Federal Circuit.
The honorees will be recognized as part of The American Lawyer’s annual Industry Awards gala on Nov. 13 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
