Desmarais LLP has won the New York Law Journal’s Intellectual Property Litigation Department of the Year award for 2019.
New York Law Journal recognized Desmarais LLP for several high-profile IP litigation victories in 2018 and 2019. These include winning an $82.5 million jury verdict for IBM; securing a $400 million pre-trial settlement for Cisco Systems; achieving summary dismissal of a multi-billion patent infringement suit against Apple; upholding a summary judgment victory at the Federal Circuit that removed $100 million in claims against IBM; and defeating an appellate challenge to a summary judgment victory that removed $75 million in claims against Cisco.
Desmarais LLP will receive the award and be honored at the New York Law Journal’s New York Legal Awards banquet on Oct. 23.
