Eugene Chiu’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation in wide-ranging fields of technologies. He has represented clients in disputes relating to mobile device design, wireless communications, Internet radio, HVAC systems, tooth whitening, and enterprise software technologies. Prior to joining Desmarais LLP, he was an associate in the Litigation and Controversy Department of Wilmer Hale LLP.

From 2002 to 2005 Mr. Chiu was a software engineer in Silicon Valley, where he worked on programs supporting the development of mobile device applications.

Mr. Chiu also served as a Research Assistant at MIT's Laboratory of Computer Science while pursuing his Master of Engineering.
